DC flags off bike rally to raise awareness on Constitution

Deputy commissioner KV Rajendra on Tuesday said that everyone should understand the importance of the Constitution and adopt its principles in their lives.

Speaking after flagging off a bicycle rally organized as part of the Constitution awareness campaign, organized by the Social Welfare Department, at the Town Hall, Dr. Rajendra, who also rode a bicycle, said that the awareness jatha was organized by the government to reach the importance of the Constitution among the masses and to ensure that the preamble is read by all.

Through the bicycle demonstration, the participants made efforts to create public awareness about the Constitution. Joint Director of Social Welfare Department Range Gowda and other officials were present.

The Constitution awareness jatha was launched on Republic Day and will continue till this month with campaigns planned in the gram panchayats in the district. Nodal officers were appointed to ensure that the message for which the campaign was launched, was reached.
