Long queues are forming at major UK airports after problems with Border Force e-gates.
All airports in the country are believed to be affected by the problem.
Pictures posted on social media show long queues at passport control gates across the country.
A spokesman for Heathrow Airport said: “We are aware that the Border Force currently has a national issue. Our teams are supporting the Border Force with their contingency plans to help resolve the issue as quickly as possible and we favor any impact.”
Passports are checked manually at some airports.
