SeaScape communities hold Toys for Tots bike collection

SeaScape Property Management recently partnered with community residents to collect and donate 67 new bicycles to Toys for Tots on December 1st.

The program, which SeaScape operated every year before the pandemic, was revived this year and brought in a record number of bikes.

Doug Nichols, co-owner of SeaScape, said: “Bringing the program this year has been a real positive step for our staff and residents; we all want to make a positive impact on the children in our local community.”

The bikes were donated by SeaScape, which started the program by donating the bikes and then extended the call to all of its communities. Residents picked up and brought the bikes to their clubhouses, where the property care team at SeaScape picked them up. About 20 of the bikes were in boxes, and SeaScape staff assembled them to be ready for use by the recipients. SeaScape then transported the bikes to the Toys for Tots warehouse in Georgetown for distribution.

SeaScape’s Chris Nichols said, “It really makes us feel connected to all the families in Sussex County knowing that nearly 70 kids will wake up on Christmas morning or during Hanukkah and find that new bike waiting for them. Not to mention the joy . will bring his family seeing that his child was not forgotten during the season.”

SeaScape is a 23-year-old family-owned residential property management company in Sussex County, employing nearly 40 local team members. Its sister company SeaScape Residential provides long-term rentals and vacation rentals in East Sussex County.
