For four nights at Madison Square Garden, Olivia Rodrigo unlocked the inner queen of pop-rock rage in her tens of thousands of audiences. Those shows brought the first North American part of the Guts world tour at an end as the singer and songwriter prepares to head to Europe for almost two full months of shows. In a recent Instagram post, Rodrigo reflected on the performance of the stage with a carousel celebrating the special guests who joined him on stage and in the audience.
“4 nights at Madison Square Garden!!! what a way to end this leg of the tour. extremely thankful for all the wonderful people who work so hard to make this show happen every night and thankful for everyone who bought tickets and jumped and they shouted and sang with me,” wrote Rodrigo.
The burst of photos includes snapshots of the singer backstage with David Byrne and his best friend Conan Graywhat you do Guts tour fit consisted of a tank top that said: “U Call Urself A Livie? Name 10 Olivia Rodriguez Songs…” He also highlighted his friend and former co-star Madison Hu of Rodrigo’s portrait ready for the Louvre, for the who tried to draw the singer from memory.
Rodrigo’s MSG media dump also featured a snippet of his performance Special guest Jewel, who joined him on his last night at the venue. A massive thank you to the magical songwriting genius @jewel for singing one of my all-time favorites with me the other night,” she wrote in the caption. “See you soon Europe!!!!”
The European heritage of the Guts The tour kicks off on April 30th in Dublin, Ireland. But Rodrigo is not completely done with North America. He’ll return in July for a second string of US shows, including stops in Philadelphia, Seattle, Vancouver, and more, before wrapping up with four shows at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
