Maharashtra Man Takes His Pet Langur To The Polling Booth And We Can’t Stop Admiring

During the elections in India, we witness some remarkable and intriguing scenes in the polling booths. Whether it’s spouses voting before their wedding or senior citizens fulfilling their responsibilities, all of these moments are truly special. Similarly, something unusual was witnessed during the second phase of the recent Lok Sabha elections in Wardha district, Maharashtra. Voters in the district were taken aback after seeing a man casually carrying a langur on his shoulder.

Identified as Vinod Kshirsagar, he introduced his unusual companion ‘Bajrang’ to the surprised onlookers. In a video shared by ANI, the man can be seen walking towards the polling booth with his little one, like a parent carrying his child.

Surprisingly, Bajrang looked perfectly comfortable on its owner’s shoulder. Later, Kshirsagar shared the story of how he formed a special bond with the animal after he rescued the langur from a dog.

The man said: “He was with us for 3 months, he was a small child, a dog had taken him, he had received 3 bites on the head, and then I brought him home. I have fed him since then, don’t leave anyone, don’t go to anyone, stay with me alone. I will take the milk at home, stay with me, also go to the field with me. He was also with me at the time of the vote. I told him not to touch the button, he is like our family, like my son. Those who are afraid, show more fear with them , otherwise, he is not afraid. He drinks milk like a child, eats grapes, eats apples.”

Another said that since the langur was rescued as a baby, it is natural for him to bond with his human. Although they felt the langur might have to be released into the wild.
