Kansas Humane Society, WAAL hosting free pet health clinics

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Due to the increase in parvo cases in Wichita and across the country, the Kansas Humane Society says it’s especially important to get your pets vaccinated. To help manage this problem, KHS and WAAL each host clinics on Saturdays where animals can receive many preventive services for free.

Microchips and three different vaccines are offered at both events, as well as free pet food for owners in need.

The KHS event will be held from 10 am to 1 pm on Saturday, March 23 at the Linwood Recreation Center and is limited to the first 200 animals in line.

The WAAL event will be held from 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday, March 23, at The Venue, located at 3201 E 31st St S, and is first come, first served.

To receive a microchip or vaccination, kittens must be at least six weeks old and puppies must be at least two months old. All dogs must be on a leash and all cats must be in a carrier.
