A GARDENER has shared the cheap purchase that has made it possible to grow strawberries and peppers in small spaces.

She created the parcels with $1.25 laundry baskets at the Dollar Tree.
Stacey lined the flexible rubber baskets with shade cloth to stop the dirt from falling off.
Once the fabric surrounds all sides of the basket, it is filled with mulch and potting soil.
Later, he took the start of strawberries, placing them in the mulch.
With the baby roots sprouting, he surrounded the plants with more mulch.
In another basket, he transferred more starters for children for two portable parcel baskets.
Expert gardeners explained that the portable hacker was useful and was often saved.

“I’ve never understood why people plant their strawberries when they give you so much by multiplying over the years if they’re in the ground,” said one critic.
“My love this is not for you, it is for people with little space like me,” he explained.
