Game of the Week: Enjoy an aimless January day in Garden Galaxy

One of the pleasures of January in Sussex is the lovely country walk. If you are lucky enough to live near some greenery, you may know what I mean. One morning, for no real reason, you find yourself wandering around the trees and the grass and the mud and the odd piece of sukebind.

This kind of walk can never be planned, but it can be postponed – from the kind of miserable weather we’ve had the last few days. So I inevitably find myself burdened Garden Galaxy on Steam and have some of the same feeling going home. It was amazing, and it’s our game of the week as a result.

Garden Galaxy is mesmerizing, slightly hypnotic even. I guess you could argue that it’s a clicker, but it doesn’t have any of the usual connotations that come with clickers. Your job, as it is, is to build a garden. You have a tile deal and a magic pot. Visitors pop up in your garden from time to time and when you click on them you get a coin, a coin that you can then drop into the pot to exchange for an item for your garden. Repeat. Here we go.
