COLUMBUS, Ind. — Friends of Columbus Animal Care Services (FCACS) will be distributing free pet food through their Furry Friends Food Bank distribution this Thursday, March 21, from 4 to 5:30 pm at the Columbus Municipal Airport, 4770 Ray Boll Blvd. . Pet food will be given out in the parking lot in front of the plane, Charlie 119.

The pantry tries to help members of the local community keep their pets in their homes and out of shelters. Cat food is distributed in 4.5 pound bags and dog food in 14.5 pound bags.

Plan to stay in your vehicles and line up on the west side of the road for the food that will be brought to you in your vehicle.

This program is one of several FCACS initiatives designed as “alternatives to hiring” in the shelter. Friends of Columbus Animal Care Services is the 501(c)(3) nonprofit partner of Columbus Animal Care Services.

They will not spread in active thunder and lightning, but if it is simply raining.
