Botanic Garden of Lights brings live jazz and holiday events to Tulsa Botanic Garden | News

TULSA, Oklahoma. – The Tulsa Botanic Garden hosted the first night of live jazz as part of its annual holiday event.

The Botanical Garden of Lights brings lights, live jazz, Santa and other holiday festivities to the Tulsa Botanical Garden.

This Sunday featured a performance by the Annie Ellicott Duo.

Lorie Hutson, the director of communications and outreach at Tulsa Botanic Garden, explained everything the event has to offer.

“On Sundays we do some live jazz and it’s a really good night for people who might want a date night or a girl’s night or something a little different, maybe they don’t want to have the bigger crowd on a Saturday sera. , we have Santa here on Friday and Saturday, on Thursday we do family crafts night, so we do a little bit of everything,” he said.

After this Sunday, the event will be from 5pm to 9pm on November 30th to December 3rd and December 7th to December 30th. They will be closed on December 24 and 25.

The Garden will also have several holiday characters such as Buddy the Elf from the movie “Elf” and “Olaf” from “Frozen” at the Garden from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm on December 26th to December 29th.

Hutson said they have been doing the event for six years.

“This is our sixth year to do this, so every year we do something different, we add something new. We are really excited and many people we have talked to who have come so far, it is their first time to see our Liberty Garden and our Lotus Pool that opened in July. So those were decorated, so it’s just more lights to see this year than ever,” he said.

Advance tickets for non-members over 16 are $17. Day of tickets will be $3 to $5 more than advance tickets.
