“Hey, nice bike! How do you like it?” As far as conversation starters go, it’s a popular trailhead. But it rarely elicits a meaningful response.
“I like it,” is the answer 99.9% of the time. Not that it isn’t true; bikes are designed for our enjoyment and like an expensive puppy, it’s hard to stay mad at a bad bike for long. We love our bikes because they bring us joy. (Also, we spend a lot of money on them, because they better bring us joy.) For this reason, Singletracks contributors generally do not review the bikes we have; we are too biased!
But… Yes you are they were able to pass out of your own purchase confirmation bias, which is one thing you say of which do you like your bike No bike is perfect and here again, Singletracks product reviewers are always welcome something that could be improved, no matter how awesome a bike may be.
