British seller Pets at Home Group Plc and French cross-channel transport operator Getlink SE are among the European companies that are the main potential M&A targets this year.
While business watchers will welcome newcomers into the fray after Europe’s quietest year for M&A since 2009, the latest additions do not lead the list of possible acquisition targets. The German chemical giant Covestro AG had the most mentions in Bloomberg’s informal survey of 18 traders, fund managers and analysts conducted in December.
