UC Santa Cruz provides international travel support to campus community

UC Santa Cruz is now providing expanded services to faculty, staff and students traveling internationally.

Michael Price, Global Travel Security Manager, was hired last year in the Division of Global Engagement. This new position will provide assistance with pre-trip preparation as well as overseas support.

Price’s focus is on anticipating potential risks specific to location and type of activity, and developing risk mitigation plans, faculty briefings, and expanded educational resources for students.

“As a university with a global footprint and a growing portfolio of international agreements, it is vital that international travel for faculty, staff and students is a safe, secure and supported process,” said Michael Price, Global Travel Security Manager at UC Santa. Cruz. “Implementing simple and convenient travel safety plans will also help provide beneficial learning and research experiences for everyone at UC Santa Cruz.”
