Skirmish over carrying pet in Noida high-rise, ex-IAS officer slaps female owner

Another heated argument over a pet leading to an alleged physical attack was reported from Noida, this time between a retired IAS officer and a dog owner who refused to get off a lift with the his pet in a high apartment. The video of the incident, recorded on a CCTV camera, has gone viral.

According to the video clip, the retired bureaucrat and the pet owner appear to be having a heated altercation that possibly erupted after a demurrer over a dog.

The fallout between two residents reached a point where the former IAS officer slapped the woman when she tried to stop him from retrieving the video of the incident. Reports suggest, a formal complaint has been lodged with the Noida Police.

“There was an argument to take the dog in the elevator. It is about discussions with both parties, the police station ACP-1 Noida Maya in charge is on the spot. According to preliminary information, there was a fight between the two parties, CCTV is being observed…after investigation, necessary action will be taken,” wrote police commissioner Gautam Buddh Nagar on X (ex Twitter).
