Red Bull TV releases expanded mountain bike coverage for 2024

While Canadians wait for news on where we’ll be able to stream mountain bike World Cup coverage, Red Bull is stepping up its own mountain bike broadcast lineup. The sports drinks and entertainment empire may have given up its World Cup rights, but it hasn’t walked away from the sport.

Red Bull TV’s 2024 broadcast lineup includes some new events, new coverage at Red Bull and a long list of returning classics. It is mainly focused on gravity, but there are also some significant additions for XC fans.

New for 2024

In the list of new events there are a few that have already been announced and a few new ones. Already news are i second coming for Red Bull Hardline and the addition of a women’s category at Crankworx slopestyle events in 2024.

Completely new is the announcement of an urban downhill race Cerro Abajo in Italy in October. This will be Cerro Abajo’s first event in Europe and will expand the series beyond Mexico and Chile rounds that have gained notoriety in recent years. It is also new Beyond the line, a post-race show focusing on the World Cup series. This will be in addition to the return Running tapes series that Emily Batty joined as a commentator in 2023 adding in-depth analysis of the World Cup races.

Red Bull has also hinted at a new film it is producing. Although there are few details, which is expected to land sometime in October.

Not new, but new to Red Bull TV is the addition of live coverage for six rounds of the OKK Bike Revolution cross country race. While not the World Cup, the OKK series attracts a strong list of drivers every event. This often includes Canadians looking to gain experience overseas in the World Cup season.
