Pinpoint Weather Alert Day continues for difficult travel in the mountains, foothills and palmer divide

DENVER (KDVR) – A Pinpoint Weather Alert Day continues to make travel difficult in higher elevations like the foothills and Palmer Divide due to snow. Denver weather it will remain moist and cooler through sunday.

Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Storm Warnings continue through Sunday morning. An additional 2 to 8 inches of snowfall will continue to make travel difficult, especially for higher terrain in the foothills, mountains and Palmer Divide.


Weather tonight: Overcast night

Saturday night, Denver will see a few rain showers. The temperature will only drop a few degrees in the mid-30s.

Light snow showers and a wintry mix of rain and snow will continue for higher elevations.

Tomorrow’s weather: Cool, cool

Sunday, a few showers, but in general it will be a cool and cool day.

Between Saturday night and Sunday, most areas will only get another tenth to a quarter of an inch of rain. Higher elevations could get another 1 to 3 inches of snow, but most areas will see the showers hang on during the day.

Temperatures will drop into the upper 50s, which is more than a 10-degree jump from Saturday, but still 5-10 degrees cooler than normal for this time of year.

Looking ahead: Sunny, warmer start to the work week

On Monday, sun and warmer weather will move into the forecast. High temperatures will rise to the upper 60s on Monday, then the lower 70s on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The next system will move into the middle of next week, bringing more rain and storm chances.
