With Amol’s mother, Kesar, bedridden for the past few days, the Shinde family in Zari Budruk village under Chakur taluka in Maharashtra’s Latur district said they were helpless without any idea of the future of the his son The Shindes work as agricultural labourers.

“They also took Amol’s T-shirt which had Bhagat Singh’s picture on it… My wife Kesar is in bed and keeps saying she wants to talk to her son,” he said.
Dhanraj Shinde’s daughter Pranjali Virale, who recently gave birth to a baby, said they do not have the means to travel. Delhi or to appoint lawyers for Amol Shinde.

PuneHuman rights activist Aseem Sarode had contacted the family to express his willingness to represent Amol Shinde during the court hearing. Sarode said he will travel to New Delhi in January.
“According to reports, Shinde has been remanded in custody till January 9. I will try to request the police to allow him to speak to his parents on the phone once,” he said.
Sarode added that the family of the accused has the legal right to obtain copies of the FIR and also prison reports.
Amol Shinde is one of the six accused in the Parliament security breach incident where intruders threw smoke canisters into Lok Sabha and shouted slogans. Currently, they have been sent to police custody by a Delhi court.
