Owner nearly abandons vacation after seeing heartbreaking footage on his pet cam

A cat owner has told how her cat’s pitiful meow almost caused her to go back and cancel her holiday.

The cats are much more independent than dogsBut that doesn’t mean they can’t still miss their humans when they leave spring breakers.

And for one cat owner, seeing how their feline friend looked while they were on vacation was more than enough to pull at their heartstrings.

Pawl’s owners went on vacation and left him mostly alone at home, although they made sure people stopped by every day to check on him.

They also installed fart cams home so they could keep an eye on what he was doing while they were out.

And a clip of Pawl holding a toy fish and meowing forever ended up piling on quite a bit 12.1 million views.

Owner Jonah said Newsweek: “I found Pawlu about four years ago. I was living in a ground floor apartment for a week and then a kitten showed up and started scratching at my window. We’ve been best friends ever since.

“When we go on holiday, we have babysitters to watch Pawl, but we also always set up the cameras to make sure he’s okay.

“Typically, it’s a lot of him just laying around, or looking out the window watching the birds. This time when we checked the cameras, it was Pawlu walking around the apartment with his fish making the saddest meows we’ve ever seen understood”.

Jonah added: “We’re going to start practicing going in the car with Pawl to see how he does on road trips. He’s already going for walks and stroller rides.

“Most mornings I actually wake up to the fish outside my bedroom door because Pawls brings me every night. I like to think it’s his way of showing me he’s thinking of me.”

Viewers were devastated by how cute and adorable Pawl was, and it caught on the comments to share their opinions.

One wrote: “My cat does the same thing by carrying her stuffed fish! We call her emotional support fish.”

Another said that they would get a friend for Pawl, writing: “See this is why I had my cat and friend and had the nerve to hate.”

And a third simply wrote: “I literally just went back.”
