Ahmedabad: The city estate and development officer and the parks department have received a complaint that the management of Orchid Green Society in Shahibaug has demolished a green strip, a small garden, to widen its gate entrance and build a road. Regarding this dispute, the director of the AMCThe parks department, Jignesh Patel, said, “The society in Shahibaug had requested to remove the small garden, but it should be investigated whether the green strip exists or not. However, this is an issue related to the estate department and the city development officer (TDO), so they will conduct further investigations.” Mukesh Patel, deputy TDO of AMC Central Zone said the department has not received any such complaints. “We have not received any complaints. However, we will conduct a thorough investigation into this matter.” Kesarimal Jain, president of Orchid Green Society, said that there is no dispute regarding the widening of roads in the society. “There is no dispute among the members of our society. I am not aware of any complaint made on this matter,” said Jain.
