New host cities revealed for U.S. Travel’s IPW conference

tea United States Travel Association revealed the 2026-2030 host cities for its IPW international travel fair.

In 2026, the event will take place Greater Fort Lauderdale, Florida, New Orleans, Louisiana in 2027, Detroit, Michigan in 2028, Denver, Colorado in 2029 and Anaheim, California in 2030.

Greater Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Detroit, Michigan will serve as IPW hosts for the first time.

“By serving as IPW’s host site, each of these world-class cities will play a key role in growing inbound travel and strengthening the U.S. economy,” said the president and CEO of the ‘United States Travel Association. Geoff Freeman, in a statement. “US Travel looks forward to working with these diverse destinations to bring the world to America – and ensuring that IPW remains a must-see event on the global travel industry calendar.”

Past IPWs have each generated more than $5.5 billion in future U.S. travel by connecting U.S. travel exhibitors with travel buyers and media to promote products, showcase U.S. destinations and negotiate future business.

The event attracts around 5,000 delegates, including 1,400 international delegates, for 90,000 business appointments scheduled over three days.

US Travel’s future IPW dates are as follows:

  • 2026: Greater Fort Lauderdale, Florida – May 18-22

  • 2027: New Orleans, Louisiana – May 3-7

  • 2028: Detroit, Michigan – June 10-14

  • 2029: Denver, Colorado – May 19-23

  • 2030: Anaheim, California – June 1-5

The next two host cities –Los Angeles on May 3-7, 2024, and Chicago June 14-18, 2025 – were previously announced by the United States Travel Association.

“The United States faces intense competition in the race for world travelers,” Freeman said. “IPW will remain an indispensable tool in attracting international visitors and positioning the United States as the world’s travel destination.”
