A passenger on board a plane has sparked a fierce online debate after revealing travel hack to watch movies during their flight with the use of another person’s head.

Ida Augusta, a content creator from Denmark, boasts more than 60,000 followers on TikTok, where she posts clips about her life, especially her travels.

The social media user, who goes by the handle @idaaugusta, went viral online after her revealed a clever trick to keep a cell phone in the back of the seat in front of her, reports DailyMail.

The TikTok begins with Augusta grinding for the camera as she walks down the aisle to her seat on her Norwegian Airlines flight.

Before sitting, it turns on the covers of the pillows on the chairs in front, so that they are attached to the back and in front of their row.

Augusta and her traveling companion then remove the cases from their cell phones, wedge the fabric of the head covering between the cases and their devices, and push them into place.

The 10-second video ends with them watching in-flight entertainment on their devices, which are attached to the backs of the seats in front of them.

“Do you know?” she submitted the post.

Augusta’s clip has garnered 2.5 million views since it was posted on Nov. 5 and received more than 190 comments.

However, many social media users flooded the comments with negative feedback, slamming the influencer for her “entitlement” and saying she shouldn’t take the covers without the permission of those in front of her.

“The way they just turn to them without asking,” one person replied.

“It’s not yours to use unless you ask the person in front of you,” said another.

“And I’m going to rip it right off because you didn’t ask,” another person said.

A few people have also argued that hacking is not very hygienic.

“That’s wildly rude – those sheets are for hygiene reasons and you’re taking those away from the people in front of you,” said one person.

“It’s just dirty! And rather unhygienic, I didn’t want my phone [where somoene’s] hair, sweatshirt, etc. it was,” another person added.

Others begged to differ, insisting it was “just a piece of cloth”.

A TikToker made the suggestion that they should invest in phone holders on flights, revealing that he had bought one on Amazon for just $12.

“Best purchase ever,” he wrote. “You have to take some.”
