Garden Rescue star Charlie Dimmock talks about getting older

Charlie Dimmock – whose show, Garden Rescue, airs today (Saturday, May 25), once again opened up about the former.

The television star also confessed to turning to food during moments of “weakness”.

Garden Rescue star Charlie Dimmock is getting older

In 2006, Charlie did an interview with The independent.

The star – who was 40 at the time – answered a series of quick questions about her life.

When the interviewer asked what the “best age to be” is, Charlie responded by saying “28 to 32.”

The star, now 57, was then asked what she does in “moments of weakness”.

“He’s eating something out of the fridge that he shouldn’t,” he replied.

When asked what his philosophy is, he said: “Watch what you do. You spend most of your time working like this, if you don’t like it, you should try something else.”

In 2010, Charlie made her stage debut in Calendar Girls. In this role, he got to ditch his kit with EastEnders star Letitia Dean.

Charlie has since she admitted she was “terrified” of doing the show.

“Being naked with the other girls was quite terrifying because they’re all proper actors and I’m not,” she said. The News Shopper at the time.

“It was just a case of, ‘Here’s a glass of champagne, can you take off all your clothes now?’ It would be a lie to say I wasn’t expecting it because we all know what the show is and we all know what’s going on,” he continued.

He later said the show was so “well choreographed” that the audience “didn’t see anything”.

Charlie to learn from mistakes

In 2022, Charlie opened approx his love for gardening during an interview with Home Magazine UK.

“I like being out in the garden and find it mentally very relaxing and positive,” he said at the time.

“When it comes to gardening, there are a lot of tips. But the best thing I can suggest is don’t be intimidated and overwhelmed, get out there and do it,” he continued.

“You will learn from your mistakes and become more confident in tackling projects.”

Garden Rescue will air today (Saturday 25 May) at 5.45pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
