Join the City of Gainesville’s Zero Waste Specialists at McRorie Community Garden (615 SE Fourth Ave.) for a hands-on composting workshop on Thursday, April 25 at 6 pm!

  • We will discuss the importance of entertainment material from the ground up;

  • Let’s look at different stages of the controlled decomposition process known as composting;

  • we have to build our own “hot compost” pile;

  • and we’ll discuss local resources and other potential diversion outlets for those who aren’t ready to take the plunge.

Whether you’re an experienced gardener or a beginner, this workshop is perfect for anyone looking to reduce waste and improve soil health.
