Garfield Heights Mayor Matt Burke was excited to be a part of the day.

“It’s something that was started years ago and we started it with a new series called Bike with the Mayor. We started it last year and this is the kickoff of the Bike with the Mayor series,” Burke said.

The event was a collaboration between Bike Cleveland, Slow Roll Cleveland and others. Kevin Jones, a motorcyclist and the chairman of the board of Slow Roll Cleveland, expressed what the bike trip was.

“This is all about getting out there and looking at the trails that we have in our urban area and seeing how people can use them and take advantage of their bikes and going into town,” said Jones.

Mayor Burke explained that he likes to bring the community together for them to see what Northeast Ohio has to offer.

“This gives us an opportunity to show what we have here in our community,” Burke said.
