Citizens of Uzbekistan can travel to the UAE visa-free starting today

The protocol on mutual exemption from entry visa requirements between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) entered into force today, after its signing on January 16 this year in Abu Dhabi, Azernews reports, citing the press agency Kun.uz.

The agreement, signed by the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Akkulov and the Undersecretary of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Khalid Abdullah Belhoul, allows Uzbek citizens to travel without a visa to the United Arab Emirates United for stays of up to 30 days.

It should be noted that citizens of Uzbekistan can travel without a visa to 29 countries, placing the nation 69th in the Global Passport Index.

According to the Statistics Agency, 131,589 citizens of Uzbekistan visited the UAE throughout 2023.
