An 11-year-old boy was injured when he was hit by a vehicle while riding his bicycle on Godfrey Road on Monday afternoon. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office tells The Big Z that the boy suffered serious injuries and was airlifted from the scene to a St. Louis area hospital.
Police say around 4:15 p.m. the driver was traveling north on Godfrey Road on a green light at Celesta Street when the collision with the child on the bicycle occurred. That driver has been on the scene.
No other information has been released at this time.
