Bike Night Back | First installment of the new year to be held Saturday | News, Sports, Jobs

One of Cape Coral’s most popular recurring events is coming to the entertainment district this weekend for its first part of the New Year.

Cape Coral Bike Night is back in February. 10 along Southeast 47th Terrace for the second chapter of the ’23-24 season.

Music and motorcycle enthusiasts can rev up their engines for a fun-filled evening from Coronado Parkway to Vincennes Boulevard from 5 to 10 p.m.

Bike Night is free to attendees and features tons of vendors, food, custom builds, and of course, rockin’ live music.

“It’s a long tradition,” said city special events coordinator Todd King. “Our residents love it. There is live music, good food, cool drinks for adults, and just a lot of fun to please the vendors and the community and celebrate the coming spring. It’s a good reason to come out, wear your skins, and ride your motorcycle.

The famous slow bike races start at 8pm on Southeast 11th Place next to Dixie Roadhouse.

“In October, the return of the slow bike race was a resounding success,” King said. “Anyone who has a bike and wants to see ‘how slow you can go,’ we want them to join us for the ride.”

The music line-up of this Bike Night has features “Relentless Fire” from 6:30 to 8, and “Completely Unchained”, a Van Halen-tribute band, from 8:30 to 10.

“Van Halen Tribute Will Blow The Lid Off”, King said. “Completely Unchained will be one of our best headliners ever.”

Bike Night will also feature Rockstar Harley-Davidson VIP Parking, which is free for Harley-Davidson bikes and automatically enters the driver for a chance to win a $100 gift card.

King said even if you don’t have a bike of your own, it’s great to be able to come down and check out some unique builds and enjoy a fun night with live bands.

“Even if you’re not a motorcycle owner, people are fascinated by motorcycles, and we have all kinds of unique motorcycles parked along the road.” King said. “People like to show off their custom builds.”

Organizers encourage the use of ride sharing services (Lyft/Uber/taxi) both for responsible drinking and to help guests get to the venue in the safest and most efficient way. There is limited parking on site, including motorcycle parking in two different locations until 11 pm

The last Cape Coral Bike Night takes place on April 13th.
