Tropical style planting: :

This is one of my favorites! Make your backyard feel like a coastal retreat all year round.

  • Immerse yourself in lush greens and oversized foliage. Alocasia’s, Bromeliads and Heliconia’s are great options.
  • Create layered planting schemes. High in the back. Small in front. Aim for textured foliage for border plantings Xanadu’s are another great option here.

Australian native style planting:

Architectural, elegant and inviting for our native wildlife.

  • Celebrate the unique flora of our region with a tapestry of native plants, including kangaroo paw, grevillea and banksia.
  • Create flowing natural gardens. Plant in groups of 3 or 5. Add in a variety of flowering shrubs, small trees and ground covers.

Formal Plantation

Perfect for garden lovers.

  • Straight lines, border plantings and topiary are great features here. Don’t be afraid to try, but be prepared for maintenance.
  • Let your garden harmonize with the classic architecture of Newcastle, older suburbs around the city will enjoy these planting styles that create a timeless and refined outdoor sanctuary.

Great for native gardens.

The informal plantation:

Perfect for the busy family.

  • There are no rules here! Engage in the beauty of leaving the garden!
  • This style is great for creating seamless flows between garden areas, it helps the garden network in its true natural environment.

Great for tropical and native gardens.

Don’t be afraid to mix it up! Tropical style plantings and native plants go well together too!
