Pet adoption event at the Tractor Supply in Beckley

BECKLEY (WVNS) – Adopting a dog can make a “ruff” day better.

Tractor Supply in Beckley is partnering with the Fayette County Humane Society for an adoption event.

The Humane Society of Fayette County is experiencing overcapacity at its shelter.

This event is to find some of these dogs at home.

Board member Kevin Walker urges residents to consider shelters when looking for a new pet.

“Just come and support your local shelters. Shop at shelters, to buy dogs just to buy dogs,” said Walker.

The event starts at 10am and runs until 4pm on January 27th.
