Key highlights

– A storm system tracking from the Rocky Mountains into the Plains, Midwest, and South will be the main contributor to any weather-related delays until Christmas Day.

- There is a disturbance ahead of this main storm that could bring some light rain to parts of the Great Lakes and interior Northeast through this weekend.

– After Christmas, the aforementioned storm will move into the Northeast and Upper Midwest. That will increase the chance of rain showers along the East Coast. At the same time, areas from Northern California into the Pacific Northwest will see an increased chance of rain and mountain snow from an approaching Pacific storm, especially by Wednesday.
