Two months after state officials showed up at a home in Upstate New York at sixteen a huge alligator, we finally know where the huge reptile went.

On March 15, the The New York State DEC took the 12-foot, 750-pound alligator named Albert from a home in Hamburg, New York, claiming that its 30-year-old owner, Tony Cavallaro, failed to ensure that the dangerous animal did not come into contact with humans, breaking the rules of the State of New york.

In addition, Cavallaro’s permit to own the exotic animal expires in 2021, and the DEC said the alligator suffers from numerous health conditions, including spinal problems and blindness.

Cavallaro continues to dispute the DEC’s claims of health problems, and documents shows he contacted the DEC to renew his permit several times and was met with no response. However, he did admitted that he allowed friends and family to pet and swim with the massive alligator.

Albert’s owner, his friends and family are now doing everything they can to get the alligator home. HA change.org The petition created in Cavallaro’s name currently has more than 170,000 signatures, and several fundraisers have been held. to raise money for the legal fight to have the pet alligator returned to the Empire State.

Unfortunately, it does not look good for Cavallaro, as we learned that his beloved animal has already been moved to a new home thousands of kilometers away.

Albert The Pet Alligator Now lives in Texas

In a comment to Buffalo, New York WGRZthe DEC revealed that Albert was originally sent to a rehabilitation facility in Massachusetts for treatment, and when he was considered healthy enough.he ended up at an alligator rescue in Texas called Gator Country.

“The location was selected after an assessment of local and national facilities able and willing to accept an alligator with these specific and significant medical needs. DEC will continue to work closely with the facility to monitor the health and well-being of alligator.” -New York State DEC at WGRZ

According to his Facebook profile, Tony Cavallaro had no idea that any of this had happened, and he does not give up his persistence to bring his pet home.
