‘7 Days of Giving’ collects pet food and donations for owners in need

LAKELAND – The Lakeland Fire Dept is in partnership with the SPCA Florida to help prevent the city’s four-legged furry friends from going hungry this holiday season.

Starting Sunday, the Lakeland-based fire department and nonprofit will launch the “7 Days of Giving.” The week-long event aims to raise 7,000 pounds of pet food and secure $7,000 in donations to further the SPCA’s mission of supporting pet owners in need.

Residents are asked to drop off cat or dog food at any of the seven fire stations throughout the city:

  • Station 1, 701 E. Main St.
  • Station 2, 2104 S. Florida Ave.
  • Station 3, 110 W. Bella Vista
  • Station 4, 215 Brunnell Parkway
  • Station 5, 3101 Lakeland Highlands Road
  • Station 6, 5050 State Road 33 N.,
